From our head chef crafting delicious dishes with fresh, local ingredients, to our attentive front-of-house team ensuring every guest feels at home, each member plays a vital role in creating a memorable dining experience. Together, we strive to serve not just food, but joy in every bite. Meet some of our team members below!

LARS DE WIJNGAERT

Hello, my name is Lars. I am the Owner/Director of the Orange Tulip Hospitality Ltd and Orange Rose Hospitality Ltd, the companies that run businesses and the Three Tuns Biddenham and The French Horn Steppingley respectively. 

 

I am from The Netherlands and came to the UK in 1989, looking to build a career. 

 

My background is with Hilton and other hotel companies, as well as several restaurant groups, including managing Wagamama restaurants for 16 years. 

 

Before setting up my own business I was Operations Manager, looking after 3 pubs, including my 2 current ones.

JOE (HEAD CHEF)

Joe is a dedicated Head Chef with over eight years of experience in the hospitality industry. Holding a Level 3 Diploma in Professional Cookery, he has developed a strong foundation in culinary techniques and kitchen leadership. Known for his professionalism and commitment to quality, Joe consistently delivers exceptional dining experiences, leading teams with precision and passion in fast-paced, high-standard environments.

ELLIS (SOUS CHEF)

Ellis is our sous chef with a deep passion for food and the hospitality industry. From an early age, Ellis found joy in the kitchen, experimenting with flavors and honing the skills that would later define a promising career. With a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality, Ellis has spent the past few years refining their culinary expertise, working in a variety of kitchens that emphasize creativity, sustainability, and outstanding customer service.

MIHAELA KAUR (GENERAL MANAGER)

With 17 years in hospitality, Mihaela has led both national brands and independent venues, specialising in business turnarounds and new openings. She is passionate about motivating and empowering the team, building a strong people-focused culture, and delivering exceptional guest experiences. At The Three Tuns, her goal is to raise standards, unlock the team’s potential, and create a welcoming venue that the community is proud to support.

BENJAMIN (SUPERVISOR)

Benjamin is our supervisor here at the Three Tuns. With only one year hospitality experience prior to here, he likes to pride himself on customer service - he will always put our wonderful customers first to ensure a fantastic experience each and every time you join us.

HOURS

 

The bar is open from Monday - Tuesday 12pm - 9pm, Wednesday - Thursday 12pm-10:30pm, Friday & Saturday 12pm-11:30pm and Sunday 12pm-10pm.

 

We are serving food from Wednesday to Friday from 12pm - 3pm then 5:30pm - 8:30pm & on Saturday from 12pm-8:30pm & Sunday from 12pm until 5:30pm.
