- THE THREE TUNS -

The history of

BIDDENHAM

The Three Tuns in Biddenham, Bedfordshire, is a historic public house with origins dating back to the 17th or 18th century. Constructed from coursed limestone rubble and featuring a traditional thatched roof, the building is designed in an L-plan with two storeys. A 19th-century brick and tiled extension was added to the west side of the structure.Recognizing its architectural and historical significance, it was designated as a Grade II listed building in August 1987.

Originally serving as a family cottage, the property was converted into a public house in 1847. Throughout the 19th and 20th centuries, it held the unique position of being the sole licensed establishment in Biddenham.Today, The Three Tuns continues to serve as a cherished local establishment, blending its rich history with modern hospitality to offer a welcoming environment for both residents and visitors.
